Hushed Tempest

“Memories warm you up from the inside. But they also tear you apart.” – Haruki Murakami

Earlier this month, I was asked to share, if I would, a silent storm of love. The request caught me by surprise and I ineffectually tried to wriggle my way out of the situation. Didn’t work and the harder I tried the wider the grins.  So, you loveable twerps, here it is –  what went before – still silently storming!

Like the wind that

blows the leaves off trees,

you have gently arrived

into the doorway of my life

adding colour and bringing joy.

Like the rain that

brings the smell of earth,

you have showered me with

your fragrance and

made me grow.

Like the soft morning sunbeams that

makes nature hold

its breath,

you have given me life.

Like the shimmering moonlight that

paints all things cool,

you have caressed my being

and given me strength.

Like the heavenly stars that

shine and guide at night,

you have twinkled in my path

and made me rejoice

in the mystery of love,

by taking my hand

momentarily.
